HRT Questions, Answered
Straight answers. What hormone therapy treats, whether it is safe, what it costs, and how to find out if it will work for you. Every answer ends the same way: it all starts with labs.
Is Hormone Therapy Effective?
Yes. HRT is a proven treatment for hormone imbalance from andropause (low testosterone in men), perimenopause and menopause, PMS and PMDD, and thyroid dysfunction. Patients get relief from:
- Hot flashes and night sweats
- Fatigue and low energy
- Mood swings, anxiety, and irritability
- Low libido
- Poor sleep
- Belly fat and muscle loss
- Foggy thinking and lack of focus
Tired after a big week is normal. Losing sleep night after night, on edge with your spouse, enduring hot flashes and unexplained weight gain is not. Ask yourself: how long have I been feeling like this?
Is Hormone Therapy Safe?
We use bioidentical hormones, which studies show are safer and more effective than non-bioidentical therapies, with a lower risk of cardiovascular issues and breast cancer. Your labs and health history are reviewed by our provider before anything is prescribed.
Are There Side Effects?
Most patients do well on bioidentical hormone replacement. Your consultation covers your medical history first so risks are screened before treatment starts. As with any hormone treatment, symptoms like headaches, vision changes, or dizziness should be reported right away so your provider can adjust your plan.
How Much Does Hormone Therapy Cost?
Less than you think. Many plans cost less per day than a coffeehouse coffee. You start with a $180 labs visit that shows exactly what your body needs, and the HRT HERO package ($475 for women, $725 for men) covers your labs, consultation, optimization plan, and follow-up testing in one price. Depending on your plan, some lab work may be covered by insurance.
Most men and women choose pellet therapy because it reduces dosing errors and wasted medication. A single pellet lasts 3 to 5 months for women and 5 to 7 months for men.
How Do I Find Out If It Will Work for Me?
One blood draw. Your labs show which hormones moved, your consultation about 10 days later turns that into a plan, and you decide from there. No commitment beyond the draw.
