Katie was introduced to yoga 20 years ago as a way to balance the challenges of dance, weightlifting, and everyday stress. In 2020, she was limited to online yoga classes and realized how much her mental health depended on the combination of movement, inward focus, and rest. In 2021, she immersed herself in classes at two different studios to experience multiple styles of yoga and to learn from different teachers.
Katie noticed a huge difference in her flexibility and strength of both her body and mind. She also felt that the power of doing yoga in a group setting was infinitely more profound.
In 2022, she jumped at the opportunity to take a 5-month, 200-hour yoga teacher training program under Nancy Meyers and Eric Paskel. This experience changed her life as she studied yoga philosophy, along with Hatha practices such as Ashtanga, Yin, and Vinyasa yoga.
Katie’s approach to yoga combines physical challenges with a dose of philosophy that students can carry with them to improve their daily lives. In her classes, you can expect vinyasa flows, core strengthening, balancing postures, and a touch of relaxing Yin at the end of every class.
